Clean Freaks recently organised a community cleanup event that turned out to be an incredible success, bringing together volunteers, local businesses, and residents for a day of meaningful environmental action. Held last Saturday at Crestwood Park, the event aimed to revitalise the area, raise environmental awareness, and inspire lasting community pride. Over 150 participants rolled up their sleeves to collect litter, plant greenery, and restore the park to its former glory.
The event was praised for its high level of community involvement. Families, students, and local organisations worked side by side, armed with gloves, rubbish bags, and gardening tools provided by Clean Freaks. It wasn’t just about tidying up; the day fostered a strong sense of connection. “Seeing so many people come together for a common goal was truly uplifting,” said one participant. The camaraderie and teamwork displayed on the day left everyone feeling proud of their collective achievement.
The impact of the cleanup was immediately visible. Volunteers collected nearly 500kg of rubbish, clearing litter from walking trails and playgrounds. New plants and shrubs added vibrant greenery to underutilised spaces, while freshly painted benches and fences gave Crestwood Park a welcoming new look. Locals expressed their gratitude, with one resident commenting, “It’s so refreshing to see our park looking this beautiful again. It feels like a new start for the community.”
For Clean Freaks, the event underscored their commitment to giving back to the local area. A representative stated, “We’re passionate about more than just cleaning homes—we’re here to make an impact where it matters most.” Energised by the positive feedback, Clean Freaks plans to host similar initiatives in the future, encouraging even more people to get involved in creating cleaner, greener spaces for everyone to enjoy.
